2010 AUSTRAC Compliance Reports Now Due!!!

Reporting entities including Registered Clubs and Hotels are now required to submit compliance reports to AUSTRAC detailing their compliance with the AML/CTF Act for the period 1 Jan, 2010 - 31 Dec, 2010.

Submission of these reports is a legislative requirement under the AML/CTF rules.

The final date for submission of these reports is 31 March, 2011.

Latest Armed Hold-Up Trends in Licensed Premises

What you need to know

While there was a drop of 38% in robberies on clubs between 2000 and 2009 and similar reductions for hotels and licensed restaurants during that period, 2010 saw a major increase in incidents across New South Wales licensed premises. Liquor Stores recorded a staggering 281% increase from 2009, clubs a 206% increase, hotels 65% and licensed restaurants  a 700% (0-7 incidents).  Nightclubs are the only category of licensed premises that have reduced incidents in the 12 month period.
