Food Safety Supervisor Programs

In 2009 legislation was passed requiring certain hospitality and retail businesses to have at least ONE trained food safety supervisor. This food safety supervisor is required to train in certain modules from the Hospitality Operations Training Package SIT30707 qualification. (More info at the NSW Food Authority Page here)

Barringtons is a Registered Training Organisation (91397) that has been approved to deliver the above Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.

Barringtons’ Food Safety workshop is designed to provide food professionals with the skills required to comply with legal food safety requirements and have a thorough understanding of food safety and food handling procedures. 

At the successful completion of this workshop, participants will receive the Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.

The course will discuss food safety issues such as:
  • hygiene regulations and laws 
  • cleaning and sanitising
  • types of food hazards and how to prevent these
  • How to identify and control bacteria/viruses/fungi
  • How to construct and implement a HACCP
  • hygiene procedures and personal hygiene requirements
  • how to properly receive/store and prepare food and beverages
  • the importance of pest control
  • the importance of  waste storage and disposal
