Operations Manager - Personnel Security

I was a member of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) from 1980 until my resignation in 1996.

In 2002 I was approached by the AFP to be trained in security vetting to assist with the national security clearances for AFP staff. This role was performed on a contractual basis until 2006 when the AFP abandoned the use of contractors.

In January 2007 I joined Barringtons Personnel Security as a contractor assisting with the processing of national security clearances for several high profile government departments. In 2009 I was appointed as the Operations Manager for Barringtons Personnel Security, Canberra.
