Maintaining Your Mental Health During Covid-19

We’ve listed below some ways to stay mentally healthy during these challenging times

The current coronavirus outbreak has us all talking and discussing about self-isolation which can result in stress and impact on our mental health and wellbeing. In a time like this it’s totally normal for us to feel mixed emotions such as worry, stress, anxiety, boredom and play on our moods. We’ve listed below some ways to stay mentally healthy during these challenging times.

  1. Maintain a healthy lifestyle- Eat well, communicate with friends, keep active and set up a daily routine
  2. Stay informed- read reliable sources to make sure you are getting the correct information
  3. Stay positive- yes this is a challenging time but it won’t be here forever. Try turning a negative into a positive
  4. Make sure you have access to support- there are various mental health services which can offer mental support: Lifeline, Kids Helpline or visit https://headtohealth.gov.au/search-resources 

Remember this situation won't last forever but while this is our 'new normal' let's turn a negative into positives!
